Are You Avoiding Dental Care Due To Fear? Did you know there are alternatives to help you relax? Dr. Pampena offers sedation options to help patients who have anxieties and fears about their teeth or dentistry in general.
Oral Sedation Therapy allows our patients, who would otherwise elect not to see Dr. Pampena, the chance to have their work completed just by taking a small pill. You may be more comfortable to choose to have nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation. Laughing gas is also very effective and safe for children. Finally, for individuals with greater anxiety levels, or for those undergoing more invasive surgeries, we can combine the oral sedative with nitrous oxide for a much more enhanced effect. The stress that occurred with past appointments can now be eliminated. Oral sedation allows you to relax throughout your dental visit. Safe and effective, oral sedation may be used to minimize fear and anxiety and allow you to acquire the dental treatment that you need or desire. Dr. Pampena would be pleased to discuss whether oral sedation is right for you.
Our aim is to completely relax our patients while they are in our office. Your dental visit should be a restorative time for your mind and body. If you don't feel comfortable during treatment, talk to us about ways to help you relax. Modern preventive techniques, advances in anesthesia, nitrous oxide and many new relaxation techniques allow our patients to leave our office feeling better than when they arrived.
Dr. Pampena is one of among the first dentists in Welland to hold a facility permit and be licensed under the Royal College of Dentists and Surgeons of Ontario to provide conscious moderate sedation.
