Gum Surgery

You may need specialized gum surgery for a number of reasons. These reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. To expose more solid tooth structure from underneath the gums so a tooth can be fixed.
2. To repair an exposed surface of a tooth or teeth that are sensitive or at risk of early tooth loss.
3. To prepare an area for a dental implant.
4. To clean the roots of teeth that are not accessible to the hygienist’s instruments.
5. To build up bone between and around teeth to stabilize them.

Following a number of post-graduate courses in periodontal surgery, Dr. Pampena has gained experience with all the above mentioned procedures and performs them routinely.
